Recovery Nurse / ODP
Location: Glasgow
Salary: Up to £45,000 (DOE)

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Recovery Nurse / Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) to join a leading private hospital in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and motivated professional to work in a fast-paced perioperative environment, delivering high-quality post-anaesthetic care.

You will play a key role in ensuring patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate care throughout the recovery phase following surgery.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high standards of patient care within the recovery area
Monitor patients post-operatively, assessing and responding to clinical needs
Ensure patient safety and comfort following anaesthesia
Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and theatre teams
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Support the continuous improvement of recovery services

Requirements

NMC Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered ODP
Previous experience in a recovery or theatre setting
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Excellent communication and organisational skills
