Full job description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Sewing Machinist to join our busy Highlandwear manufacturing team. This role involves producing high-quality traditional Highland garments, including jackets and waistcoats, to the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently.
Sewing and assembling Highlandwear garments to specification.
Working with a variety of fabrics, including tartan and wool.
Following patterns, measurements, and production instructions accurately.
Maintaining quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Assisting with garment finishing and quality control checks.
Keeping workstations clean and organised.

Requirements:

Previous experience operating industrial sewing machines.
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong time management skills and ability to meet production targets.
Experience in garment manufacturing is preferred.
Knowledge of Highlandwear construction would be an advantage, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
