Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking energetic and vigilant Casual / Weekend Door Supervisors to ensure the safety and security of our venue, staff, and guests. This role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and are committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming atmosphere. As a Door Supervisor, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, managing access control, monitoring activities, and responding swiftly to any incidents. Your proactive presence will help create an enjoyable experience for all attendees while upholding the highest standards of security.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and verify their eligibility for entry according to venue policies
Manage access points efficiently, ensuring only authorized individuals enter the premises
Conduct surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor activity across the venue and surrounding areas
Perform loss prevention duties by observing for suspicious behavior and preventing theft or vandalism
Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid when necessary
Maintain a visible presence throughout your shift to deter inappropriate behavior and ensure safety
Complete detailed shift reports, incident logs, and security documentation accurately and promptly

Skills

Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems effectively
Knowledge of loss prevention techniques to identify and prevent theft or misconduct
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations or emergencies
Basic first aid certification or ability to provide immediate assistance when needed
Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with guests, staff, and emergency responders
Vigilant attitude with keen observation skills to detect potential issues early
Flexibility to work on weekends, evenings, or irregular hours as required
