We currently have permanent opportunities for a Animal Welfare Officer to join our Technical teams in Willand, Devon.

This post is working Days,
The hours of work are 04:30am - 14:00pm, and the shift pattern:
- Week 1 Monday - Friday
- Week 2 Tuesday - Saturday
The rate of pay is £15.61 per hour

Main Responsibilities:

Your main responsibilities as an Animal Welfare Officer include:

Monitoring deliveries of live birds, ensuring steady supply is maintained
Check welfare status of birds as they arrive
Report any welfare issues to relevant people
Monitor and check operatives on the hanging stand
Assist the Senior Animal Welfare Manager in maintaining training and assessments for the COC applicants.

Ideal Candidate:

As an Animal Welfare Officer, you will have a passion for delivering high standards within your job role. You will be prepared to learn and work well in a busy, fast paced environment.

You'll have a good level of English both written and spoken
Be a good communicator
Have good attention to detail
Have a flexible approach to work
Be willing to learn and attend required courses for this role
Experience working in agriculture
