Content Marketing Executive

Reports to: Digital Marketing Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and organised Content Marketing Executive to support the day-to-day delivery of digital marketing activity across content, social media, campaigns, and customer communications.

Working within the e-commerce team, based in our rural office near Honiton, the ideal candidate will already have hands-on experience creating and optimising digital content, with a working understanding of SEO and content strategy. They should be confident taking a brief, producing high-quality copy, using data to improve content performance, and managing day-to-day tasks with minimal supervision.

They will be tasked with copywriting, performing SEO audits of the website, monitoring and analysing data, and assisting in developing a content strategy that will help the business to reach more new customers.

This is a varied role within a growing marketing team, offering exposure to a broad range of digital marketing disciplines. It is ideal for someone with a strong interest in digital marketing who is eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

Core Responsibilities

Content Creation & Website Support

· Write SEO copy for the e-commerce channel including landing, category and product pages and the OK Vape blog

· Plan content strategies to support product launches and marketing initiatives

· Produce blog content to attract and convert relevant audiences

· Collaborate with the e-commerce team to implement cohesive content marketing campaigns across all channels

· Use SEMrush, Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools to analyse campaign effectiveness and proactively optimise content

· Report on brand SEO performance

· Optimise the website for AI visibility and support wider AEO/GEO strategy

· Upload and update website content where required

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest regulations in the vape space

Social Media Support

· Assist Email Marketing & Design Executive with planning social media content

· Create captions and support campaign messaging across social platforms

· Help identify trends, opportunities, and ideas for future content

Email & Creative Support

· Work with the Email Marketing & Design Executive to support campaign delivery

· Gain exposure to email marketing workflows, customer journeys, and digital creative processes

· Provide additional support across the marketing team during busy periods or planned absence

Skills & Experience

Essential

· Proven experience writing and optimising content for websites, blogs, landing pages, or e-commerce pages

· Working knowledge of keyword research, on-page SEO, and content performance reporting, with an interest in emerging areas such as AEO/GEO and AI search visibility

· Experience using CMS tools such as WordPress

· Good organisational skills and attention to detail

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

· Comfortable working collaboratively within a team environment

· Proactive attitude and willingness to broaden skills across email marketing, campaigns, social media, and wider digital marketing activity

Desirable

· Experience working within an e-commerce or digital marketing environment

· Experience using Reddit to raise brand awareness

Nice to have (but not essential)

· Experience using Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools

· Experience using social media management platforms such as Meta Business

· Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo

Experience Level

Ideal candidates may have:

· 2+ years’ experience in a content marketing, SEO content, copywriting, or digital marketing role with a strong content focus

· A marketing, communications, English, journalism, or related qualification (or equivalent practical experience)

Candidate Checks

Successful applicants will be required to provide 2 satisfactory references and complete a DBS check.

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
