Our Mission

At Care With Kindness, our mission is driven by compassion.

Through our exceptional team we will provide high quality and professional care for the elderly of rural Devon so that they can stay in their own homes as part of their community.

Overview

At Care With Kindness, we pay well (£13.50-14.75/hour plus travel time plus mileage at 55p per mile) because we are looking for special people who want to support elderly people within their own homes. Join our exceptional team as a Community Carer and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals within rural areas between Ottery St Mary, Honiton and Cullompton.

In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalised support to help clients maintain independence, improve their quality of life, and stay safe in their own homes. Your positive attitude and proactive approach will foster trusting relationships and promote well-being across our rural community.

In this incredibly rewarding role, we particularly need staff who are available for between 10-25 hours, 25% of which will be week-end or evening shifts.

We are especially looking for those carers and will prioritise our selection for those who can do the following shifts:

Tuesdays, especially evenings
Friday eveinings
Sundays

Duties

Deliver tailored personal care services, including assistance with bathing, dressing and mobility to meet each client’s unique needs.
Support clients with daily activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and errands to promote comfort and independence.
Monitor clients’ health and well-being by observing changes and reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals or family members promptly.
Foster a warm, respectful environment by engaging in friendly conversation and encouraging social interaction to combat loneliness.
Maintain accurate records of care provided, including daily logs and incident reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Follow all health and safety protocols diligently to ensure the safety of clients and yourself at all times.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalised care plans that reflect each client’s preferences and goals.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills to develop rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple client needs efficiently.
Previous experience in caregiving or community support roles is preferred but not mandatory; full training will be provided.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed. All carers will need to offer week-end and evening care.
Valid driver’s license with a reliable car, with business cover. We pay travel time at £13/hour and mileage at 55p/mile.
Ability to attend training events and team meetings at our award-winning office at Devon Business & Education Centre, near Payhembury, Honiton
