Help tell the story behind the UK's next generation of drone technology.
UAVTEK designs and manufactures advanced unmanned aerial systems (UAS), secure communications, ISR payloads and counter-UAS technologies for defence, government and commercial customers around the world.
We're looking for an enthusiastic and technically minded individual who can bridge the gap between engineering and marketing. This is a varied role where you'll work alongside engineers, flight test teams and our commercial staff to create engaging content, professional technical documentation and compelling sales material that showcases our innovative products.
One day you could be documenting a flight trial, the next creating a product datasheet, updating our website, producing social media content, supporting an exhibition or preparing customer proposals.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys technology, writing, digital marketing and AI, and wants to play a key role in helping a growing British technology company reach customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Documentation
- Produce professional user manuals, quick-start guides and technical documentation.
- Create attractive product datasheets, brochures and technical specifications.
- Prepare test reports and validation documentation from engineering trials.
- Produce customer case studies and technical white papers.
- Work closely with engineering teams to accurately communicate product capabilities and performance.
Digital Content & Marketing
- Maintain and continually improve the UAVTEK website.
- Create engaging written, photographic and video content.
- Manage and grow the company's social media presence.
- Produce content showcasing product development, testing and company news.
- Support exhibitions, marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
Sales Enablement
- Create professional sales presentations, proposal documents and quotation material.
- Produce comparison documents and competitive positioning material.
- Maintain accurate customer records within the CRM system.
- Support lead generation and customer engagement campaigns.
- Create customer success stories and sales collateral that helps convert opportunities.
AI & Digital Innovation
We actively embrace AI to improve productivity and quality.
You'll be encouraged to use modern AI tools to assist with content creation, research, automation, data analysis and workflow improvements while ensuring all published material meets UAVTEK's quality standards.
Collaboration
- Work closely with engineers, production staff and commercial teams.
- Attend product testing and demonstrations to capture content and technical information.
- Translate complex engineering concepts into clear, engaging language suitable for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support product launches and new technology announcements.
Skills & Experience
We're looking for someone with experience in several of the following areas:
- Technical writing
- Copywriting
- Digital marketing
- Website management
- Content creation
- CRM management
- Photography or videography
- Graphic design
- AI productivity tools
Experience with drones or defence technology is advantageous but not essential. We can teach the technical aspects—the right attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn are more important.
Software Experience
Experience with some of the following would be advantageous:
- Wix website management
- Google Workspace
- Microsoft 365
- Adobe Creative Cloud
- Canva
- HubSpot or a similar CRM platform
- Experience working with Kanban-based project and task management systems
- ChatGPT and other AI productivity tools

Essential Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong IT and digital literacy.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Ability to reliably commute to, or relocate to, Aldsworth, Gloucestershire before starting work.
Desirable Experience
- Interest in drones, robotics or defence technology.
- Photography or video production.
- Basic understanding of engineering or electronics.
- SEO and website optimisation.
- Experience using AI in a professional environment.
- Experience producing customer-facing technical documentation
Pay: £26,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
