Full job description

We are looking for a Senior Finance Assistant for a unique opportunity to join our finance team in one of Scotland’s most stunning locations. This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Ullapool facility and/or on the Island of Tanera Mòr.

You will play a key role in supporting the Finance team in its day-to-day operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial information while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Core Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

· Manage the Finance mailbox, responding to queries and liaising with suppliers and colleagues

· Process supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding, approvals, and timely posting

· Ensure all invoices are recorded within month-end deadlines

· Process invoices paid by direct debit

· Process employee expenses and company credit card transactions

· Reconcile supplier statements

· Support weekly supplier payment runs

· Process daily bank transactions

· Maintain accurate financial records and support the wider finance team as required.

The successful candidate should have:

· Previous experience in a finance or accounts role (essential)

· An accounting qualification (desirable but not essential)

· Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

· Strong organisational and communication skills

· The ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines

· A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
