Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the culinary arts and are looking to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment. As a Kitchen Porter, you will assist with various tasks that support the kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and organisation.

Duties

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
Wash, dry, and store kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and other equipment.
Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or cooks.
Help with the organisation of stock and supplies, ensuring that items are stored correctly.
Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential.
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while under pressure.
Good communication skills and a willingness to help others in the kitchen team.
A positive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration.
