We are seeking an outstanding and committed individual to join our team to deliver A Level Biology or A Level Environmental Science. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and ambitious team where high expectations and strong relationships are the norm.
The successful candidate will have the ability to engage, motivate and challenge students of all abilities, helping them to develop both a deep understanding within their specialist subject. Our lecturers play a vital role in supporting students to achieve high grades at A Level, while also fostering critical thinking, confidence and a curiosity about the world beyond the classroom.
You will hold a relevant qualification in biology, environmental science or a closely related subject and be keen to share your subject knowledge in a dynamic and accessible way. Teaching experience is desirable but not essential; we welcome applications from a range of backgrounds including those who are at the start of their teaching career or are considering a move into teaching.
The post is will be suitable for a specialist in either Biology or Environmental Science, although we will be happy to receive applications from candidates who are able to offer both subjects.

It is proposed that Furness College will merge with Blackpool and The Fylde College from 1st August 2026. If the merger goes ahead as planned any employment that starts after 1st August 2026 will be on Blackpool and The Fylde terms and conditions.
