Job Summary
Do you have a keen eye for detail? Do you enjoy working as part of a team? We’re currently seeking a reliable Warehouse Operative to join our friendly team based in North Tawton. The role involves picking and stacking cases of finished goods, wrapping pallets using the manual and automatic wrapper, monitoring the quality of finished goods, efficiently and safely loading, unloading, and moving materials within the facility.
This role operates on a 4 on 4 off days shift pattern (42 average hours per week).
Warehouse Operative Responsibilities
- Reconfiguring finished goods from out storage pallets onto finished goods pallets
- Monitor and report quality defects
- Ensure highest of presentation standards are achieved for the final product leaving the warehouse
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring that all safety protocols and regulations are strictly followed
- Ensure all items are stored and accessed in the appropriate manner
- Collaborate with team members to fulfil orders and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Unloads vehicles, locates packaging and ingredients pallets
- Picks and loads orders for despatch to customers
Warehouse Operative Requirements
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment
- The ability to operate within strict processing guidelines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- IT literate with previous experience of warehouse applications on PC or handheld devices
- Prioritise and manage own workload and ensure targets are achieved in this fast- moving environment subject to change
