Full job description

Job Title: CNC Setter/Operator

Reports to: Production Manager

Main Duties:

Interpret engineering drawings, knowledge of tolerances and engineering symbols.
Operating, Setting & Basic Programming of CNC Mill with Fanuc or Siemens control.
Produce components to the required specification, safely, efficiently and accurately to ensure production requirements are met.
Carry out first inspection, including first-off inspection using gauges and measuring instruments as well as periodic inspections in batch quantities.
Maintaining good housekeeping in your work area, clearing spillages etc.
Maintaining stock levels required for your work, reporting future requirements to your manager promptly.
Maintaining your machine in good working order, reporting faults to your manager as necessary.
Operating gantries as required.
Working with others in a cooperative manner to ensure an efficient and harmonious atmosphere.
Ensuring that your production time is allocated to the correct job.
Any other duties as required from time to time by management which are within your competence to carry out.

Key skills required to carry out the job:

Sound knowledge of CNC controls, Fanuc/Siemens language
Good understanding of mechanical engineering and machining principles
Working as part of a team
Problem solving Skills for complex operations.
Communicating well with Manager, colleagues
Organisation of your work activities to make best use of your time
Working on your own initiative
Positive attitude to health and safety
Positive attitude to quality of goods produced
Basic Computer skills using Microsoft Excel & Outlook.

Pay: £32,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
