Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bar Staff member to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively environment where hospitality skills are highly valued. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who enjoy working in a social setting and thrive under pressure.

Duties

Serve drinks and beverages to customers in a courteous and efficient manner
Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments using the POS system
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times
Ensure compliance with food safety and licensing regulations
Restock bar supplies, including glasses, garnishes, and ingredients as needed
Provide friendly assistance to customers, answering queries about drinks or menu items
Manage multiple tasks effectively during busy periods, demonstrating excellent time management skills
Assist with setting up and closing down the bar at the start and end of shifts
Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety throughout your duties

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality, particularly in serving or bartending roles, is required.
Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is desirable
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during busy hours
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Excellent communication skills with a personable approach towards customers
Ability to work well within a team environment while maintaining professionalism at all times

Pay: £12.21-£17.81 per hour
