Main duties, tasks & skills required
You'll lead the clinical direction of Treetops SARC, ensuring safe, high-quality, trauma-informed care for adults and children. This includes oversight of governance, audit, risk management and continuous improvement-working closely with the Quality & Safeguarding Manager and Operational Manager to deliver clear quality reports and service plans.
You'll set standards for best practice in forensic examination, medicines management, safeguarding and incident response. You'll work in partnership with paediatricians to shape services for children and young people, and collaborate with police, commissioners and partner agencies to develop consistent, joined-up care.
A key part of the role is developing people. You'll train and mentor Sexual Offence Examiners and crisis staff, lead peer review, and support colleagues giving evidence in court. You'll ensure strong clinical supervision, maintain compliance with national guidance and contribute to achieving and sustaining UKAS accreditation.
You'll provide visible, compassionate leadership-supporting day-to-day operational delivery while embedding a culture of learning, reflection and accountability. You'll also contribute to the strategic development of the SARC within the Trust and across the wider system.
