Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Water Hygiene/Disinfection Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be leading a team of 2 people, with their main responsibilities being disinfections of cold water systems and cisterns. Duties
- Conducting water system inspections and assessments to identify potential contamination risks
- Performing disinfection procedures on water systems, including storage tanks, pipes, and outlets
- Utilising hand tools, power tools, and provided equipment to carry out maintenance tasks
- Installing, repairing, or replacing water system components as required
- Maintaining detailed records of all work undertaken in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assisting with the installation of new water systems or upgrades in various settings
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry standards
- Adhering to strict health and safety protocols during all operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in water hygiene, disinfection, or related engineering fields
- Knowledge of legionella control practices along with BS8558
- Experience working within the water treatment industry, booster pumps or plumbing sectors is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team in diverse environments
- Good physical fitness to handle manual tasks involving lifting or manoeuvring equipment
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in water hygiene or disinfection are advantageous but not essential
- A valid full UK driving licence is preferred for site access across multiple locations
- Reliability and willingness to travel

Pay: £29,500.00-£32,000.00 per year

Experience:
- Chlorination/Disinfection of Water Systems: 1 year (preferred)
- Cleaning and Disinfecting Water Systems: 1 year (preferred)
