Grantham Engineering are seeking 2 skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our busy workshop.
Job Overview - Motor Repair
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for repair and service of Electric Motors, Pumps, Gearboxes and any other specific workshop tasks given.
This role would be suited to an ambitious Fitter looking to further develop their skills within a fast-paced workshop environment.
Duties
- Undertake the repair of electric motors, pumps and gearboxes.
- Ensure deadlines are met to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.
- Complete required workshop documentation for each job.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and minimise downtime.
Skills
- Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or proven related experience.
- Proven track record of working within the electro-mechanical sector (beneficial but not essential)
- Possess good communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to work well within a team.
- Willingness to work outside of normal working hours to meet customer demand where necessary.
- Willingness to carry out shift work where necessary (8.25 hours per day - Early shift commences at 6.00am and Late Shift finish at 11.15pm)
- Full driving licence (preferred but not essential)
Job Overview - Motor Build
We design and manufacture vibratory motors and drives that are used globally in industries such as mining, recycling and food production. Our work includes electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as control panels and PLC systems. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fitter to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will ideally have a background in Electro/Mechanical Engineering. This is an opportunity to get hands-on with real engineering products that are used worldwide.
Duties
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to assemble components accurately.
- Be skilled and experienced in the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Have experience and drive to work from a pick list driven by MRP and customer demand.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during assembly.
- Document work completed and report any discrepancies or defects promptly
Pay: Up to £13.80 per hour
