Full job description

Pretty Pawsome is a well-established and thriving dog grooming business. Our Wirral salon is set in a peaceful farm environment, in Thurstaston. We attract clients not only locally but also much further afield due to our exceptional high standards of service and dog-centered approach.

Due to a high demand for appointments, we are thrilled to announce we have full or part-time positions available for a qualified and experienced dog groomer to join our friendly & professional team

Candidates must have the following:

Expertise and knowledge in all aspects of grooming, with the ability to groom/style a wide variety of breeds
Excellent customer service skills, timekeeping, and professionalism
Have a creative flare and great attention to detail
Recognised UK qualification (OCN, City & Guilds, or ICMG) Level 2 or 3
Minimum 2 years salon experience

We have part-time positions or 1 full-time position available, 2-5 days per week including weekends, with additional hours available to cover staff holidays and during the busy festive period.

Salary varies dependent upon age, experience and skill level.

Job role:

Complete 4-5 dogs per day independently or more with a prepper
Have a passion for animals and their general well-being/welfare
Be trustworthy, professional and able to maintain our salons excellent reputation and presentation
Groom to a high standard with a greater understanding of animal welfare being a priority
Work well as part of a team and independently, with the ability to use your own initiative
Have excellent customer service skills and ability to build strong customer relationships
Have an excellent work ethic, punctuality and time-management skills
Be enthusiastic and committed to CPD (Continual Professional Development)
Take payments, make bookings, answer phone calls/text messages
Support less experienced colleagues in their ongoing development.
