The Role
We are seeking an Experienced Conveyancer to join our dedicated residential property team in King's Lynn. Whether you are a qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX), or a Licensed Conveyancer, you will take ownership of a varied caseload from instruction through to post-completion.
Supported by experienced administrative assistants, you will manage local and national property files, offering sensible, face-to-face legal advice to clients while maintaining excellent working relationships with local estate agents and financial advisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Caseload Management: Autonomously managing a diverse portfolio of residential property transactions, including freehold/leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, new builds, and unregistered land.
- Title Investigation: Conducting rigorous title checks, interpreting complex property searches, and raising/resolving technical legal enquiries.
- Client & Third-Party Care: Providing a dedicated, compassionate, and transparent service to clients, keeping them informed alongside mortgage lenders and agents at every milestone.
- Risk & Compliance: Strictly adhering to CQS protocols, SRA regulations, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks, and Lexcel compliance rules.
- Team Collaboration: Working alongside and supervising a Conveyancing Assistant to ensure smooth daily file progression.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Qualified Solicitor, CILEX, or Licensed Conveyancer (CLC) with a valid practicing certificate.
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of autonomous fee-earning experience in residential conveyancing.
- Technical Skills: Confident navigating complex land law issues, title anomalies, and leasehold extensions. Strong experience using modern Case Management Systems.
