Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Driver specialising in 7.5 tonne vehicles to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely delivering goods to various locations, ensuring timely and efficient service. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and logistics, looking to contribute to a dynamic organisation committed to high standards of safety and customer satisfaction. Regular routes and drop off locations

Responsibilities

Safely operate a 7.5 tonne curtainsider lorry, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring punctuality
Load and unload goods with care, ensuring items are secure during transit
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times during operations

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with 7.5 tonne vehicles or similar flatbed lorries
Prior delivery driver experience is highly desirable
Familiarity with driving regulations relevant to commercial vehicles within the UK
Experience in handling cargo is advantageous
Valid driving licence suitable for 7.5 tonne
Knowledge of local routes and the ability to navigate efficiently across different areas
