We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist to join our well-established, innovative and friendly Musculoskeletal (MSK) Outpatient Team in East Staffordshire, covering Burton-upon-Trent and Uttoxeter. This is a fantastic opportunity for staff who have completed their Band 5 rotations or who are looking to expand their existing clinical knowledge within MSK.
You will be required to hold a valid HCPC registration, be able evidence skills as a clinician working with patients with a range of musculoskeletal conditions and have a clear desire to expand your knowledge & skills with a capacity for autonomous clinical decision-making and problem solving. We are looking for a team player who is a good communicator and you will need to be open, honest and compassionate. You will need to have the ability to work flexibly and be able to develop effective professional working relationships. You will be able to evidence of contribution to service development/ improvements.
Support and guidance will be provided from a team of friendly, experienced Advanced Physiotherapists, Advanced Practice Physiotherapists and Clinical Champions. There is regular clinical supervision provided as well as career progression opportunities through a robust MSK Development and Competency Framework.
As part of your role in the MSK Service you will:
Provide MSK assessment, diagnose and manage a variety of MSK conditions through clear and logical clinical reasoning.
Provide MSK assessments & treatments in a variety of settings 1:1, group and virtual.
Support the development of Band 5 physiotherapists, unregistered staff and undergraduate physiotherapy students.
Work closely with other teams/agencies - involvement in addressing a range of support issues across MSK and pain conditions.
Support service development and delivery of local and Trust wide projects.
Participate in regular clinical supervision.
To ensure effective outcomes of person cantered care followed up with monitoring and evaluation.
