Barnhurst Lane Lions FC is seeking a passionate and creative Volunteer Social Media Coordinator to help grow our online presence and showcase the fantastic work taking place across all areas of the club.
This opportunity would be ideal for:
- Students studying Marketing, Media, Sports Business, Digital Content, or similar subjects.
- Individuals looking to build their portfolio and gain practical experience.
- Aspiring social media managers, content creators, or sports marketers.
- Football enthusiasts who enjoy creating engaging online content.
Role Responsibilities
Manage and update the club's social media platforms:
- Facebook
- Instagram
- TikTok
- YouTube
Create and schedule weekly content including:
- Matchday updates
- Player recruitment campaigns
- Club announcements
- Team news and results
- Training and coaching content
- Player achievements and success stories
- Club events and tournament promotion
- Community and grassroots football content
Assist with:
- Short-form video creation for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts
- Photography and content collection at club events and matchdays
- Growing engagement across all platforms
- Maintaining a consistent club brand and identity
Monitor platform performance and suggest ideas to increase reach, followers, and engagement.

Skills We're Looking For
- Good communication skills
- Creative mindset
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms
- Reliable and organised

- Interest in football is desirable but not essential
No previous professional experience is required. Enthusiasm, creativity, and a willingness to learn are more important.
Commitment
- Volunteer position (initially)
- Approximately 2–5 hours per week
- Flexible working arrangement
- Some attendance at club events, training sessions, or matchdays may be beneficial but is not essential
