IT Engineer (Hybrid – Onsite / Helpdesk / Cyber Security)

About the Role
We’re looking for a flexible, personable IT Engineer to join our growing team at HB Technology.
This isn’t a typical helpdesk role — you’ll be working across:
- Client sites
- Remote support / helpdesk
- Cyber Essentials and security-focused tasks
If you enjoy variety, being out with clients, and delivering great service, this role is for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing onsite IT support across client environments
- Supporting Cyber Essentials readiness – patching, MFA, access controls, security improvements
- Handling helpdesk tickets (1st / 2nd line) and remote troubleshooting
- Installing and configuring IT equipment
- Supporting projects and client rollouts
- Ensuring excellent communication and a right-first-time approach
What We’re Looking For
- ✅ 2+ years in an IT support / MSP role
- ✅ Strong Microsoft 365 knowledge
- ✅ Experience of onsite / field-based support
- ✅ Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
- ✅ A proactive, organised, “can-do” attitude
- ✅ Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Experience with Cyber Essentials / IT security
- Azure / networking knowledge

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
