Job Overview - PAYE - Transport Required
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Operative to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, preventing loss, and responding promptly to security incidents. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to maintaining a secure environment.

Responsibilities

Monitor CCTV footage and surveillance systems continuously to identify suspicious activity or security breaches.
Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and ensure safety protocols are followed.
Assist in loss prevention by observing and reporting any theft or vandalism.
Respond swiftly and appropriately to security alarms or incidents, including providing first aid if necessary.
Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks.
Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and authorisation of visitors and staff.
Collaborate with emergency services when required, ensuring swift communication during incidents.

Requirements

Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred.
Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques.
First aid certification is highly desirable.
Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be physically fit to patrol the premises and stand for extended periods.
Prior experience with security systems or access control devices is advantageous. This role provides an opportunity for dedicated individuals to contribute to a safe environment while developing their skills within the security industry.

Pay: £13.25-£15.00 per hour
