About Us

Velare Transport Ltd is a growing tour operator specialising in premium small-group tours from London to the Cotswolds. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service, informative commentary, and memorable experiences for visitors from around the world.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, professional, and customer-focused Driver Guide to join our team. This role is ideal for someone aged 25 or over with a passion for tourism, excellent driving skills, and a good knowledge of the Cotswolds, including its villages, history, and attractions.

You will be responsible for safely transporting guests while providing engaging commentary and ensuring every customer enjoys a first-class experience.

Key Responsibilities

Safely drive passengers on full-day Cotswolds tours from London.
Deliver engaging and informative commentary throughout the journey.
Provide outstanding customer service to international visitors.
Ensure tours operate safely and on schedule.
Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and maintain a clean, professional vehicle.
Represent Velare Transport Ltd in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

Essential Requirements

Aged 25 years or over.
Valid D1 or PCV licence with a clean driving record.
Good knowledge of the Cotswolds, its history, villages, and visitor attractions.
Excellent spoken English and confident public speaking skills.
Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
Smart, professional appearance.
Reliable, punctual, and organised.
Willingness to work weekends and bank holidays as required.

Desirable

Previous experience as a Driver Guide or Tour Guide.
Experience working with international tourists.
Additional language skills are an advantage.

Training

Applicants should have a good working knowledge of the Cotswolds. However, additional training will be provided to familiarise you with our tour routes, commentary, and customer service standards.
