Job Title: General Manager
Location: North London
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: £40 000 - £43000 depending on experience

About Us:

Its Bagels is an artisan bagel bakery known for serving fresh, delicious bagels baked on site, and coffee in a fun and welcoming atmosphere. We take pride in our high-quality ingredients, friendly service, and strong community ties. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced General Manager to lead our team and help us continue delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations, including opening/closing procedures, staff scheduling, and inventory management and of course real Bakery management.
Train, motivate, and supervise team members to ensure excellent customer service and efficient workflows.
Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations.
Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly.
Manage customer flow, sales reporting, and basic financial tracking.
Lead our team to deliver outstanding food preparation, baking, and serving during peak hours as needed.
Develop strategies to boost sales, improve efficiency, and enhance the customer experience.
Its all about our people and we need a strong people orientated manager with tons of personality

Requirements:

Passion, Pride is a must
Be able to speak to anyone
Previous experience in a café, bakery, or restaurant management role (bagel shop experience a plus!).
Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and inspire a team.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices - non negotiable.
Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed. We operate during the day so no late nights!
