Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Slinger Signaller to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing crane operations and ensuring the safe movement of loads on-site. This role requires clear communication skills, a good understanding of construction procedures, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Prior construction experience and driving competence are highly desirable. Duties
- Signalling crane operators to facilitate precise lifting and placement of materials and equipment to support skidding and Jacking operations
- Assisting with the planning and execution of lifting operations in accordance with safety regulations
- Conducting visual inspections of lifting gear and equipment before use
- Maintaining clear communication with all team members during lifting activities
- Ensuring all operations comply with health and safety standards
- Assisting with site logistics, including transporting equipment or materials as required
- Keeping accurate records of lift activities and inspections
Skills
- Proven construction experience, with knowledge of lifting procedures and safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with crane operators and ground crew
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, for clear instructions and documentation
- Valid driving licence to facilitate site access and transportation needs
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy construction environment
- Good physical fitness, with the capacity to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
