Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Builder to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of building tasks, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in construction and related trades to contribute to diverse projects, from residential to commercial developments.

Duties

Fabricate, assemble, and install structural components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
Execute carpentry and joinery tasks with precision to meet project specifications
Undertake roofing works, including installation and repairs, ensuring weatherproofing and durability
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely and efficiently on-site
Carry out construction painting to prepare surfaces for finishing
Install plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and fittings in accordance with technical drawings
Conduct masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing
Carry out electrical tasks where qualified or assist electricians as required
Follow project plans and specifications to ensure timely completion of tasks
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction or building trades with a strong understanding of fabrication, assembly, carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in building projects
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights when necessary
Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to construction sites
Relevant certifications or qualifications in carpentry, joinery, plumbing, electrical work or masonry are advantageous but not mandatory
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
