Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Topman to oversee streetworks operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are maintained. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, experience in maintenance and driving, and excellent communication abilities. This role involves supervising teams, coordinating tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations on-site. The Topman will play a crucial part in delivering successful streetworks projects while maintaining high standards of professionalism and safety.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate streetworks activities to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
- Oversee maintenance of equipment and tools utilised during streetworks operations.
- Manage team members, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to optimise productivity.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety checks.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate records of work progress, safety inspections, and equipment maintenance.
- Identify potential issues or hazards on-site and implement corrective actions promptly.
Experience
- Proven management experience within streetworks or construction environments.
- Strong background in maintenance of equipment used in streetworks projects.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, clients, and authorities.
- Prior experience supervising teams in outdoor or urban environments is desirable.
