About Us

Hendra Holiday Park is a family-run, five-star, multi-award-winning holiday park dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences for our guests. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for families, and we are now looking for an experienced Head of Security to join our passionate team.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Hendra Holiday Park for a Head of Security to join our award winning team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will play a key part in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for both guests and staff.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of security operations and proven experience leading teams in a customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

As Head of Security, you will be responsible for the safety and comfort of our guests and the effective management of the security team.

Lead, recruit, manage, and motivate a team of up to 10 security staff
Act as a visible and proactive presence across the park and leisure venues
Carry out regular patrols to ensure safety and security standards are maintained
Manage noise levels in line with site policies
Handle incidents, altercations, and disruptive behavior calmly and professionally
De-escalate situations quickly and effectively
Report maintenance issues, noise complaints, and incidents appropriately
Compile nightly handover reports to ensure clear communication
Deliver staff inductions and ongoing training
Monitor team performance, providing coaching, feedback, and support
Ensure all security procedures and health & safety regulations are followed

About You

Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential)
Proven experience in a security management or supervisory role
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Calm, patient, and diplomatic approach to challenging situations
Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and health & safety regulations

Working Hours

Evening, weekend, and some night shifts on a rota basis
Venue shifts: 5:00pm – 1:00am
Park shifts: 5:00pm – 1:00am
Night shifts: 9:00pm – 7:00am
