We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and hardworking Steward/ Stewardess – with partner to assist to manage the day-to-day operations of our busy and welcoming Working Men’s Club. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic couple or partnership to become an integral part of a valued community venue.
The successful applicants will be responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service, supporting club operations, and creating a welcoming environment for members and guests.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the club
- Provide excellent customer service to members and visitors
- Manage bar operations, including stock control and ordering
- Support the organisation and running of club events and entertainment
- Supervise staff and coordinate rotas where required
- Handle cashing up and basic financial responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health & safety, and club policies
- Build positive relationships with members and help maintain a friendly club atmosphere
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, licensed premises, club management, or a similar environment essential
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage day-to-day operations effectively
- Experience with stock management and cash handling
- Personal Licence Holder (desirable)
- A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to be involved in all aspects of club life
- Trustworthy, dependable, and community-minded individuals
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and during club events
Salary: Dependent upon experience
