Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Car Tyre Fitter to join our automotive service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting, repairing, and maintaining tyres on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive maintenance and a strong work ethic to develop their skills in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Remove and replace tyres on vehicles using appropriate hand and power tools
Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and proper tread depth
Balance tyres to ensure smooth vehicle operation
Perform wheel alignment adjustments as needed
Conduct tyre repairs, including patching and sealing punctures
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the tyre fitting area
Assist customers with tyre-related enquiries and provide excellent customer service
Follow safety procedures at all times during tyre fitting operations

Skills

Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle tyres and basic automotive systems
Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tyre levers
Experience with power tools used in tyre fitting and maintenance
Strong maintenance skills with attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills to assist clients professionally and courteously
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling tyres and wheels
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
