Supervising Social Worker (Permanent Post)

To cover Yorkshire Region and surrounding areas.

Area: Working from home and Barnsley office based

Three Circles Fostering is an established Independent Fostering Agency and we are currently looking for a Supervising Social Worker to cover Yorkshire Region. Your role as a supervising social worker will include:

Ensure that all agreements relating to the placement are completed and adhered to.
Supervise the work of foster carers on behalf of the organisation and provide on-going support post placement.
Ensure safeguarding of children and young people in placement and information related to same.
Undertake annual reviews of foster carers ensuring that all work meets identified timescales.
Attend Fostering Panels to present annual reviews on behalf of the organisation when required.
Work with other professionals and foster carers to promote the welfare and positive outcomes for children placed.
Ensure that all work is recorded on the CHARMS database
Be part of the on-call rota

It is also the nature of the work of the organisation that tasks and responsibilities are, in many circumstances, unpredictable and variable. All employees are therefore expected to work in a flexible way when the occasion arises so that tasks are not specifically covered by the job description have to be undertaken. These additional duties will normally be compatible with the regular type of work and job purpose. If the additional responsibility or task becomes regular or a frequent part of the staff member’s job, it will be included in the job description in consultation with the staff member.
