Receptionist

Sub Division: Facilities Management

Location: Cardiff (Caerdydd) - CF10 3NQ

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract - 9 months

Hours: Part Time - 20 hours - Monday to Friday

Purpose of Role

We are looking for a professional and welcoming Receptionist to join our team and provide a high-quality front-of-house service to staff, visitors, and guests.

As the first point of contact for the premises, a professional demeanour, positive attitude, and excellent communication skills are essential.

The successful applicant must be bilingual in Welsh and English, with fluent Welsh language skills. Full training will be provided.

Job Description

Working as part of the team, you will provide reception and administrative support, respond to visitor enquiries, and help ensure the smooth and professional running of the reception service.

Responsibilities

Carry out essential reception and administrative duties, including but not limited to:

Provide a professional and welcoming reception service to staff, visitors, and guests
Handle customer enquiries and situations in a polite, positive, and helpful manner
Provide information and assistance to visitors whenever possible
Develop efficient ways of planning and organising activities associated with the role
Arrange travel and accommodation bookings as required
Provide administrative support when required
Work collaboratively with colleagues and follow relevant reporting procedures
Act as a positive brand ambassador when interacting with staff, visitors, guests, and client teams
Maintain a clean, tidy, and professional appearance and uniform at all times

Essential Qualifications/Skills

Fluent Welsh and English language skills, both verbal and written
Good people and communication skills
Ability to work under supervision as well as independently and as part of a team
Positive approach to learning and personal development
Well organised, friendly, and flexible approach to work
Good time management and organisational skills
Professional and customer-focused approach
