Come and join our team
Do you have the skills and attributes to make a difference to those in our communities that need our help the most?
We are looking for kind and caring individuals to join our team answering emergency alarm calls from lifeline pendants.
Delta Wellbeing is an award-winning local authority trading company and a centre of excellence for Technology Enabled Care to support older and vulnerable people to live more independently. It has grown significantly since it was established in 2018 and provides 24/7 bilingual call monitoring and other support services including telecare and telehealth alarm monitoring, TEC installation, community welfare response, lone working monitoring and out-of-hours housing repairs to local authorities, health boards, housing associations, educational settings, private companies and residents.
As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, customer-focused service in a fast-paced environment.
You'll be the first point of contact for older adults, lone workers, and those in crisis situations.
With exceptional attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure, you’ll triage incoming calls, promptly taking action such as dispatching emergency responders, as well as co-ordinating crucial services like emergency housing repairs and out-of-hours social care assistance.
You must be flexible to meet the needs of a 24/7 service working day and night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays including the Christmas period. Candidates should also have a good understanding of computers with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Awareness of the issues associated with working with older or vulnerable people is desirable, along with information about social care/other local authority or housing association services and legislation like GDPR.
If you have a background in call handling, customer service or a health and social care background and are passionate about delivering excellent customer service in a high-pressure environment, we want to hear from you.
If you are passionate about helping others, possess strong communication skills, and thrive in a high-pressure environment, we want to hear from you.
Extensive training is given during the initial three-month period (those appointed to part-time positions will be required to work three/four days per week during this period in order to receive the training).
The ability to communicate in Welsh is essential.
It is an offence for someone to apply or volunteer for work for which they have been barred via the DBS barred lists.
