Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assist qualified pharmacy technicians and pharmacists with dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and label prescriptions in accordance with legal and safety standards
- Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring correct dosages and patient instructions
- Provide excellent patient care by answering basic queries and directing patients to appropriate services
- Maintain accurate records of dispensed medications and stock levels
- Ensure the pharmacy area remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Support inventory management by checking stock levels and assisting with stock replenishment
- Participate in training programmes to develop knowledge of pharmacy procedures and medication management
Skills
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in medication administration is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medicines
- Excellent communication skills to support patient care and team collaboration
- Ability to work effectively under supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Genuine interest in healthcare, patient safety, and continuous learning
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and pharmacy management systems
