Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender/Hostess to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, serving drinks with skill, and ensuring excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, be well-organised, and enjoy engaging with diverse clientele. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar environment is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests warmly and manage reservations efficiently
Take and serve drink orders accurately, ensuring proper presentation and quality
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with food safety standards
Assist with setting up tables and ensuring guest comfort as needed
Handle cash and card transactions with accuracy using the POS system
Provide excellent customer service by engaging politely and attentively with guests
Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple tasks effectively
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

Skills

Strong hospitality skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in a bar or restaurant environment
Excellent serving skills with attention to detail
Good organisational abilities to manage multiple tables and orders efficiently
Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately
Proven experience in a restaurant or bar setting is advantageous but not mandatory
Effective time management to ensure prompt service during busy hours
Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
