We are looking for compassionate, dependable individuals to join us on a casual, out-of-hours basis. Full training and ongoing support will be provided, so you feel confident carrying out the role from the start.

This role suits people from all walks of life. It may particularly appeal to those who are semi-retired or looking for flexible, meaningful work, as well as those who have experience in roles such as healthcare, emergency services or caregiving. However, previous experience is not essential.
What matters most is your attitude, empathy and ability to remain calm and respectful in sensitive situations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Responding to out-of-hours call-outs to homes, care settings and hospices
- Safely bringing individuals into our care with dignity, gentleness and respect
- Working alongside an experienced team member to ensure families feel supported and reassured
- Supporting the coroner’s work where required
- Maintaining clean and well-stocked company vehicles so they’re ready for every call-out
Working Pattern
- On-call rota for one week a month, covering from Friday at 5pm to Monday at 9am and from 5pm until 9am each weekday
- While on call, you must be able to attend our Llandudno funeral home within approximately one hour
- Call-outs are unpredictable, so reliability and readiness are key

You will also need to:
- Be comfortable in environments where death and grief are present
- Be physically able to carry out heavy lifting with safe manual handling
- Be reliable, well-presented and professional at all times
- Work well within a small, supportive team
- Hold a full UK driving licence
