About the Role
Are you looking to start a career in health and safety? If so, Wrexham County Borough Council are looking to recruit a motivated trainee within the Corporate Health and Safety team
As a trainee you will be required to undertake a structured training plan over three years in which you will gain key recognized health and safety qualifications such as a NEBOSH General and NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety as well as valuable practical experience across a range of council services.
Tasks within the role will vary ranging from investigating accidents to supporting team members undertaking audits.
At the end of the three years, you will have the skills and experience to continue your career as a professional health and safety adviser.
Although no previous experience in Health and Safety is required you will need to have good communication skills as the role will require you to build relationships with various stakeholders.
You will also need to have good ICT skills to use and develop our health and safety management systems. You will need an inquisitive mindset with a methodical approach to problem solving.
