Ysgol y Grango
Ysgol uwchradd gymysg ydym ni i fyfyrwyr rhwng 11 a 16 oed, wedi'i lleoli ym mhentref gwledig Rhosllannerchrugog, gyda thua 549 o fyfyrwyr ar y gofrestr.
Mae'r ysgol, sy'n dyddio o 1906 ac wedi'i hailadeiladu ym 1985, yn gwasanaethu ei chymuned leol gref a phentrefi cyfagos eraill, llai na phum milltir o ganol dinas Wrecsam.
Yn Ysgol y Grango, rydym yn deulu ac yn hyrwyddo pwysigrwydd perthyn – cynefin. Ein nod yw hyrwyddo cariad at ddysgu o fewn amgylchedd dysgu diogel, meithringar ac uchelgeisiol, lle mae unigolion yn bwysig, a'u hapusrwydd a'u lles o'r pwys mwyaf.
Rydym yn ddigon mawr i gyflwyno cwricwlwm eang a chytbwys, tra'n ddigon bach i ddarparu'r gofal a'r sylw pwrpasol sydd eu hangen ar ein myfyrwyr i'w galluogi i fod yn llwyddiannus.
Mae ethos yr ysgol wedi'i wreiddio'n gadarn yn ein gwerthoedd craidd o garedigrwydd, gonestrwydd, uniondeb, parch, dyheadau uchel, gwydnwch a hunan-gred. Mae gennym system gofal bugeiliol ragorol a rhaglen amrywiol o weithgareddau allgyrsiol i sicrhau bod gan ein holl ddysgwyr y cyfle i ffynnu.
Ar ben hynny, rydym yn cofleidio diwylliant ac iaith Cymru, yn darparu mynediad at dechnoleg gyfoes ac yn paratoi ein myfyrwyr ar gyfer bywyd yn yr 21ain Ganrif. Mae arwyddair ein hysgol, GWEITHREDU Ysbrydoledig – Bywydau Bodlon: Rydym Ni, Rydym Ni’n Gofalu, Rydym Ni’n Rhannu”, yn ymgorffori ein cred ym mhŵer addysg i drawsnewid bywydau pobl ifanc. Mae ein staff ymroddedig iawn yn herio ein myfyrwyr yn academaidd, yn foesol ac yn gymdeithasol ddydd ar ôl dydd.
Rydym yn gweithio gyda'n myfyrwyr i sicrhau eu bod yn derbyn lefelau priodol o gefnogaeth yn academaidd ac yn fugeiliol i wireddu eu potensial. Rydym am i'n holl fyfyrwyr fod yn ddewr, yn feiddgar, yn chwilfrydig ac yn wydn.
Mae gweledigaeth newydd Ysgol Y Grango wedi'i deillio o'r gwaith a wnaed wrth ddatblygu'r Cwricwlwm Newydd i Gymru a'n harwyddair yw “GWEITHREDU Ysbrydoledig – Bywydau Bodlon: Rydym Ni, Rydym Ni’n Gofalu, Rydym Ni’n Rhannu”. Cafodd hyn ei lunio gyda mewnbwn gan bob rhanddeiliad, gan gynnwys y gymuned leol a chyflogwyr, sy'n adnabod yr ardal yn dda a'r hyn maen nhw ei eisiau a'r hyn maen nhw'n ei obeithio ar gyfer myfyrwyr ein hysgol.

Ysgol y Grango
We are a mixed secondary school for students between 11 and 16 years of age, situated in the rural village of Rhosllannerchrugog, with approximately 549 students on roll.
The school, dating from 1906 and rebuilt in 1985, serves its strong knit local community and other nearby villages, less than five miles from Wrexham city centre.
At Ysgol y Grango, we are a family and advocate the importance of belonging – cynefin. We aim to promote a love of learning within a safe, nurturing and ambitious learning environment, where individuals matter, and their happiness and wellbeing are of paramount importance.
We are large enough to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, while being small enough to provide the bespoke care and attention our students require to enable them to be a success.
The ethos of the school is firmly embedded in our core values of kindness, honesty, integrity, respect, high aspirations, resilience and self-belief. We have an excellent pastoral care system and diverse programme of extra-curricular activities to ensure that all our learners have the opportunity to thrive.
Furthermore, we embrace the culture and language of Wales, provide access to up to date technology and prepare our students for life in the 21st Century.
Our school motto, Inspiring ACTions – Fulfilling Lives: We Are, We Care, We Share”, embodies our belief in the power of education to transform the lives of young people. Our highly committed staff challenge our students academically, morally and socially day after day.
We work with our students to ensure they receive appropriate levels of support both academically and pastorally to realise their potential. We want all our students to be brave, bold, curious and resilient.
The new Ysgol Y Grango vision has been derived from the work undertaken in developing the New Curriculum for Wales and our motto is “Inspiring ACTions – Fulfilling Lives: We Are, We Care, We Share”. This was constructed with input from all stakeholders, including the local community and employers, who know the area well and what they want and hope for the students of our school.
