Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Team Members/Baristas to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and food service, excellent time management skills, and a friendly demeanour. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic environment, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

PAY IS MINIMUM WAGE TO YOUR AGE

FULLY TRAINED BARISTAS REQUIRED

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
Assist customers with menu selections, providing friendly and efficient service
Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks in accordance with health and safety standards
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas in compliance with food safety regulations
Manage cash register operations accurately, including taking payments and giving change using basic maths skills
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
Uphold high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times
Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues during busy periods

Experience

Candidates must have experience using a traditional manual espresso machine and be confident in all aspects of coffee preparation, including grinding, dosing, tamping, extraction, and milk texturing. Experience limited to automated or push-button coffee machines is not sufficient for this role.

Experience in serving or hospitality roles is advantageous
Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable
Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently and maintain excellent service levels
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
