Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pipe Fitter / Sprinkler Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems and sprinkler systems across various construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of schematics, welding techniques, and mechanical systems, with an emphasis on safety and precision. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects within a dynamic environment, utilising a range of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.

Duties

Read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints to accurately install piping and sprinkler systems.
Measure, cut, assemble, and fit pipes using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment such as MIG and TIG welders.
Perform welding tasks including MIG, TIG, and other relevant welding techniques specific to <LOCATION> welding standards.
Solder, assemble, and maintain plumbing components ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Install sprinkler systems in accordance with industry standards and project specifications.
Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of piping systems to identify potential issues.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project deadlines.
Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter or Sprinkler Fitter within the construction or maintenance sectors.
Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, soldering, and other welding techniques relevant to <LOCATION> standards.
Strong knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing, assembly, maintenance, and construction processes.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively.
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting tasks.
Experience working with plumbing systems and sprinkler installation is highly desirable.
Good physical condition with the ability to work at heights or in confined spaces if required.
Relevant certifications or qualifications in welding or pipe fitting are preferred but not mandatory. This role offers an excellent platform for individuals passionate about construction and maintenance work within the plumbing industry. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards at all times.

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
