Glass Deva is a creative small business based in Chester City Centre, specialising in handmade, personalised fused glass gifts and experiences.

From personalised gifts and jewellery to our popular fused glass workshops, we make glass art accessible and enjoyable for everyone. We’re a rapidly growing business with both a physical shop and an online presence, and we’re now looking to expand our team to help us take our e-commerce and social media to the next level.

The Role

We’re looking for a highly motivated Digital & E-commerce Assistant to help us grow our online presence and keep our online business running smoothly. We welcome applications from recent graduates, particularly those with a background in Digital Marketing, E-commerce or a related subject.

This is a varied role combining e-commerce, website management, social media and business administration. You’ll play an important part in developing our website and online shop, growing our social media, processing orders and putting efficient systems and processes in place behind the scenes.

We’re looking for someone who is extremely organised, reliable and detail-focused, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work quickly and efficiently. You’ll need to be confident working independently but also enjoy collaborating with our existing team.

Your role will include:

Developing, updating and maintaining our website and online shop
Assist with website SEO, including optimising product listings, pages and content
Help improve our website visibility and search engine rankings through SEO
Managing and creating content for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
Processing online orders and ensuring they are completed accurately
Organising deliveries and dispatches
Keeping website products, images, descriptions and stock information up to date
Responding to online and in person customer enquiries
Tracking online sales, engagement and growth
Helping develop our digital marketing strategy
Improving and creating processes to make the business run more efficiently
Keeping online information and business systems organised
Working closely with our existing team
Supporting the wider team during busy periods

We’re looking for someone who is:

Extremely organised with excellent attention to detail

Proactive and able to identify areas for improvement

Flexible and able to adapt during busy periods
A strong communicator and team player

An interest or experience in creative craft

Knowledge and/or experience with the following would be desirable:

E-commerce and online order processing
Website management, particularly Wix and Shopify
Understanding of SEO and how to improve website visibility
Experience with website SEO, keywords and Google Analytics
Social media management
Social media analytics and insights
Canva, Affinity, Adobe Creative Suite or similar
Digital marketing
Stock management or business administration

Location: Chester City Centre
Hours: Part-time
