We're looking for an experienced Senior Manufacturing Technician to build, integrate and test the precision optical, electro-mechanical and photonic assemblies that form the heart of our breakthrough technology.
This is not a high-volume production role.
You'll work on complex, high-value systems, collaborating closely with engineers and scientists to solve manufacturing challenges, improve processes and ensure our products perform to the highest standards.

What You'll Be Doing
- Building and testing complex optical, fibre optic, electro-mechanical and electronic assemblies
- Integrating critical modules into advanced semiconductor metrology systems
- Following and improving manufacturing, assembly and test procedures
- Investigating manufacturing issues and driving effective root-cause resolution
- Working closely with Engineering to support product development and new product introduction activities
- Contributing to manufacturing process improvements that enhance quality, reliability and efficiency
- Supporting delivery schedules through high-quality, right-first-time assembly and test
- Maintaining high standards within cleanroom and production environments
- Supporting and mentoring colleagues, sharing knowledge and promoting best practice
- Championing safe working practices across manufacturing operations
What We're Looking For
You'll come from within semiconductor equipment, photonics, scientific instrumentation, aerospace, medical devices or another advanced technology manufacturing environment.
You'll need experience in:
- Building and testing complex, high-value technology products
- Optical systems, fibre optics, lasers or photonics-based equipment
- Electro-mechanical assembly and system integration
- Cleanroom manufacturing environments
- Troubleshooting, fault-finding and structured root-cause analysis
- Supporting products throughout their lifecycle, from development into production
- Manufacturing quality systems and best practice
- Reading and interpreting technical documentation and engineering drawings
- Working with precision assemblies where attention to detail is critical
Nice to Have
- Semiconductor equipment manufacturing experience
- AFM, metrology, photonics or scientific instrumentation experience
- IPC wiring and soldering certification
- Manufacturing engineering or process development exposure
- Experience supporting low-volume, high-complexity products
Qualifications
HND, degree, apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience in engineering, manufacturing, photonics, electronics, electro-mechanical assembly or a related discipline.
