Full job description

We're looking for an Appian Solution Architect to join our team in London, United Kingdom in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will lead the design and technical implementation of scalable Appian-based solutions for enterprise clients. You will play a critical role in shaping digital transformation initiatives, ensuring architecture integrity and enhancing overall solution performance.

Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, design and development of Appian-based solutions
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and process models
Develop and maintain Appian applications, user interfaces and integrations with external systems
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Appian developers and project teams
Ensure adherence to best practices in Appian development including code quality, performance optimization and security standards
Collaborate closely with business analysts, project managers and QA teams throughout the project lifecycle
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Appian applications and integrations
Stay updated with the latest Appian features, releases and industry trends to drive continuous improvement

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
5+ years of experience in Appian development with at least 2 years in an architect or lead role
Strong understanding of the Appian BPM platform, process modeling and Appian plug-ins
Hands-on experience with Appian integrations (REST, SOAP, RDBMS, etc.)
Proficiency in Appian SAIL, process design and Appian best practices
Excellent communication, problem-solving and leadership skills
Appian Certified Lead Designer or Appian Certified Architect certification is highly desirable

Nice to have

Knowledge of cloud platforms and microservices architecture
Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies
