Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our specialist implant practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventative dental implant care, assisting with patient education, and supporting the overall oral health of our patients. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a friendly team environment, utilising advanced dental technology and techniques. The successful applicant will possess a strong understanding of anatomy, medical imaging, and CAD applications relevant to dental procedures.

The day rate is a minimum guaranteed pay.

Duties

Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing of patients' teeth
Take and develop dental radiographs using medical imaging equipment
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures with precision and care
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with health regulations
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments to ensure a safe working environment
Utilise CAD software for designing dental restorations or appliances when required
Monitor patient comfort levels throughout procedures and provide reassurance as needed
Keep abreast of the latest developments in dental technology and techniques

Requirements

recognised qualification as a Dental Hygienist from an accredited programme
Proven experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for new graduates
Strong knowledge of anatomy, especially oral structures, to ensure precise care delivery
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques used in dentistry
Experience with CAD applications relevant to dental design is advantageous
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with team members
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Organised, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety standards

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £35.00-£40.00 per hour
