We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, such as grill, pastry, or sauces, ensuring consistency and quality
- Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your designated section in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with hygiene standards and safety procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Train junior staff members and provide guidance on food preparation techniques
- Assist in maintaining a positive and professional work environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and hygiene standards
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are preferred but not essential if accompanied by substantial experience in similar roles
