Robinson Brothers Ltd is an independent, family owned, company manufacturing organic chemicals for the Pharmaceutical, Agrochemical, Rubber, Polymer, Food & Beverage and allied industries, operating from West Bromwich in the West Midlands.
We are recruiting for a Head of Supply Chain, to ensure effective and efficient management of the warehousing and purchasing function by driving efficiency in warehouse management and developing and driving procurement strategy. Partnering with the Sales and Operations team to develop and deliver Sales and Operations plan requirements.
Duties will involve:
- Lead end‑to‑end forecasting, purchasing, and logistics for raw materials, packaging, resale products, and engineering supplies.
- Manage all warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory, optimal stock levels, and efficient material flow.
- Develop and deliver the procurement strategy, driving cost‑reduction initiatives and supplier performance improvements.
- Oversee procurement of engineering equipment and spare parts, ensuring timely, cost‑effective purchasing aligned with maintenance needs.
- Partner with Finance to streamline and automate the procure‑to‑pay (P2P) process, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Coordinate Gate House Security operations, ensuring appropriate staffing and adherence to site access protocols.
- Lead twice‑yearly stock counts with Finance and Operations, resolving discrepancies and strengthening inventory controls.
- Ensure health, safety, and regulatory compliance across all supply chain activities.
- Manage procurement spend, warehousing budgets, inventory value, and reduction of write‑offs.
- Provide accurate forecasting and reporting for materials, stock, and spend.
Skills & Qualification required
- Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) – Level 6
- Significant experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve personal and team goals
- Evaluate unforeseen changes, identify resolutions, and implement solutions promptly
- Key team player and strong interpersonal skills
