Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the property, preventing loss, and maintaining a secure environment for staff and visitors. This role requires a professional attitude, keen observation skills, and the ability to respond promptly to emergencies. Duties
- Conduct regular surveillance of the premises using CCTV systems and physical patrols to identify any suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Monitor access points, check identification, and control entry to authorised personnel only.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and deterring theft or vandalism.
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to emergencies, including medical incidents, by administering first aid if necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks for record-keeping purposes.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when required.
- Enforce company policies and safety regulations consistently across all areas of the site.
Requirements
- Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is desirable.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security technology is preferred.
- Valid first aid certification is highly advantageous.
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Good communication skills and a professional demeanour.
- Must be physically fit to patrol the premises as required.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights or weekends if necessary.
Pay: From £12.21 per hour
