Taproom/bartender team member

Weekends | Part-time | Permanent | East London

Are you passionate about independent beer, great hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests? Do you love talking about beer styles, local breweries and helping people discover something new?

We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Bar Person / Taproom Team Member to join our independent brewery taproom. This is more than pulling pints — we’re looking for someone who genuinely understands craft and independent beer culture, enjoys engaging with customers and takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards behind the bar.

Our taproom is a community-focused space, showcasing fresh independent beer, events, collaborations and great hospitality. We’re searching for someone who thrives in a busy environment and understands what makes a brewery taproom unique.

The Role

As part of our taproom team, you’ll play a key role in delivering excellent service while representing the brewery and our products with passion and knowledge.

You’ll be responsible for:

Delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere
Confidently discussing beer styles, breweries, flavour profiles and recommendations with guests
Pouring and serving beer to high standards while maintaining product quality
Understanding and supporting cellar operations, including line cleaning, keg changes and stock rotation
Monitoring beer quality and ensuring products are served in peak condition
Supporting opening and closing procedures and maintaining cleanliness standards
Helping with stock management and deliveries
Assisting with taproom events, collaborations and special releases
Maintaining strong knowledge of current beers on tap and seasonal products
Working efficiently during busy service while keeping hospitality at the forefront

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for independent beer and hospitality, who understands that great service is just as important as great beer.

You’ll ideally have:

✔ Strong knowledge of independent beer and craft beer culture (essential)
✔ Understanding of beer styles, breweries and flavour profiles (essential)
✔ Cellar knowledge, including keg handling, line cleaning and maintaining beer quality (essential)
✔ Understanding of how brewery taprooms operate, including events, fresh beer rotations and customer engagement (essential)
✔ Previous experience working in a taproom, brewery bar, craft beer venue or similar environment (preferred)
✔ Great customer service and hosting skills
✔ Ability to work confidently during busy service periods
✔ Positive attitude and enthusiasm for hospitality
✔ Interest in independent producers and local food & drink culture
