We are now bringing this successful model to Oxford, creating a brand-new Residential Lettings team within our established Oxford office. Backed by Bidwells' strong regional presence and multidisciplinary expertise, this is a unique opportunity to join at the beginning of an exciting new chapter and help shape the future of our lettings offering in the region.
As Property Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day management of a portfolio of quality residential properties, building strong relationships with landlords and tenants while contributing to the development and success of the Oxford lettings business.
This newly created role offers the chance to make a genuine impact, influence how the team evolves, and be part of a growing service from the ground up, all while benefiting from the support, reputation, and resources of an established market-leading firm.
Please note that some Saturday mornings will be required on a rota basis, with additional payment provided on top of your salary.
What you’ll be doing

Carry out property inspections and following up with landlords and tenants.

Arrange contractors and coordinate works for repairs on behalf of landlords and tenants.

Liase daily with tenants, landlords and contractors dealing with maintenance issues and any relevant queries.

Organise compliance certificates to ensure that properties comply with current legislation, (gas safety, EICR, EPC, Right to Rent, deposit protection etc.)

Coordinate move-in’s and contacting utility suppliers.

Arrange/conduct inventory check in/check out reports and managing deposit returns and negotiate disputes where necessary.

Prepare and serve relevant notices.

Monitor and chase any arrears including tenant rents, client balances and outstanding invoices.

Keep up to date with changes in UK housing law and local legislations including the licencing of relevant properties

Provide property management advice to the landlords

Update property management software as and when required.

Process invoices and monitor maintenance expenditure
About you
-
Experience in the same/a similar role within the property field (Residential lettings would be a bonus)

Organised and eloquent with a professional telephone manner.

Articulate with strong verbal and written communication skills delivering a high level of customer service

Building and maintaining strong Client relationships

Team player with a willingness to learn, but also confident working independently and able to use own initiative

Ability to remain calm under pressure and achieve deadlines

Accuracy with particular attention to detail

Strong computer skills, particularly Word and Excel

Flexible and 'can do' attitude

Full driving licence and access to a car to be used for business use

Local knowledge of Oxford and surrounding areas in order to provide professional advice on market conditions would be highly advantageous

ARLA qualified would be highly advantageous or the willingness to work towards it (supported by Bidwells)
